Colors
Black represents the darkness or our new students’ lack of specific skills and knowledge of hair design when beginning the course.
“My People are destroyed for lack of knowledge”. Hosea 4:6 (KJV)
Gold represents wisdom achieved from the successful completion of the school curriculum and the power developed through dedicated practice and learning.
“But he knoweth the way I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold”. Job 23:10 (KJV)
Straight Razor
The straight razor symbolizes the attributes OG’s School of Hair Design (OG’s) strives to instill in each of our students.
Quality – A quality straight razor is made of high carbon steel. OG’s provides quality, ethical instruction.
Finish – The mirror finish is the best finish created on a straight razor. It is obtained through intense heat, pressure, and polishing. OG’s provides practice in hair design, sharpening our students’ skills to the highest level possible.
Balance – A straight razor is properly balanced when the weight of the blade and the handle are equal. OG’s provides perfect balance in our classroom instruction and hair designs.
Diamonds
The numbers three, seven, ten and twelve are considered perfect numbers in the Bible. The diamonds are set in four rows of seven diamonds and three diamonds, which total 20 diamonds. The number seven in the Bible means spiritual perfection or completion, and the number three means divine perfection. OG’s strives to bring our students not only to completion by successfully passing the course, but we also insure that our students’ hair design skills are highly perfected.
OG’s School of Hair Design’s current students and graduates may order their class rings by contacting Pagel & Sons Jewelers for a consultation, selection, and fitting appointment.
